ABOUT
Rosie Powell has been painting watercolors for 35 years. Her
training includes the Art Students League in NYC, the Vermont
Studio School, private lessons with Lawrence Goldsmith, and
the MICA Art School, founded by Michael Dee Cookinham. She
has shown her work in Vermont, Italy, and at Open Studios
in San Francisco.
Her vibrant and colorful paintings express her connection to
nature and to the marine environment in particular. These
striking portraits of sea creatures highlight their fragile
beauty. They speak to the interconnectedness of all species
and warn of the potentially devastating impacts of our 21st
century lifestyle.
In every painting there is a sense of joyful, creative play.
May it encourage you to explore and express your own joy,
and allow it to radiate out into the web of life.

LightRoom in Berkeley made the giclée prints on this site. They are meticulous, with vivid color and precise detail. I highly recommend them.
